Sandham Chapel Exhibition, October 2019
Following my journey to Thessaloniki and brief interlude in Macedonia (now North Macedonia) I completed several works. Some are direct studies for the commission in the Imperial War Museum, others are more of a personal response to my journey and the landscape I encountered.
These works were exhibited at the Sandham Chapel, Newbury in October 2019. The chapel was built to hold Stanley Spencer’s murals based on his time on the Salonika front during the First World War.
